Germany keen to expand ties with India
Germany on Monday expressed its desire to strengthen ties with India in various fields, the director-general for Asian and Pacific Affairs, Federal Foreign Office of German government, Hans-Henning Blomeyer-Bartenstein, said. He expressed Germa ny's interest to expand in the fields like trade and investments, science and technology, energy, and defence cooperation. Speaking at the Indian Chamber of Commerce here, he said that India was emerging as a major force in the Asian continent and the recent visit of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel showed his country's increased interest in the Asian giant.
