"European ‘wise men’ call on EU to stand by commitment to Turkey

Some 50 prominent Europeans, including former politicians and intellectuals, called on the European Union to pursue a more coherent and vigorous foreign policy to promote European interests and values and said the 27-nation bloc must keep its promises made to candidate Turkey."
